Because of the elastic runs small
Love these shoes! I have 2 pairs and they fit and feel great!!!!
These stopped my heel pain but aster an hour of wearing them, they started hurting my little toes. The toe box is very narrow. I have a long foot(11), but not a wide foot. I hate that I have to send them back, because they are great and the arch support is good. If you have an extremely narrow toe box then these will work for you.
First of all the bottoms were worn. Second the soles were hard as rocks and have absolutely no arch support. Most uncomfortable flats. The outside was cute and I liked that material. But I returned them. No way would I even pay $20 for those over $100 flats.
After success with a pair of Vionic walking shoes, I got this pair of Alexa flats. And now I am going to replace my Tieks and Rothys (all I wear, along with Birkenstocks) with Vionics! Top quality, style and comfort—amazing fit right out of the box!
The little black shoe, like the little black dress, should be in every closet. These are not for walking around - not at work, not at Costco - just like the little black dress. The elastic on the back keeps your foot in only if you're not in a hurry. Out to dinner, visiting (cocktail party?) - perfect. There is practically no sole so again, no heavy duty walking around. But lots of arch support. I will buy a few more colors to have on hand.
I have worn Vionic shoes for several years and have been a consistent size 7 in flats and sandals. These in a 7 were a bit too short, narrow and shallow. In the pic you can see this shoe on the left compared to my old Vionic on the right. Both are size 7, standard width. The arch support is good in these like most Vionics, but the sole is very hard-no padding and it is not removable. I wear a lift in one of my shoes, so I prefer a removable sole. I did return them.
Shoes were tighter than my regular size 8. Have never had Vionics fit this way.
