Dearfoams Women's Livie Machine Washable X Strap Knit Sneaker, Light Grey, 7

Decided to try these mainly because of the washable claim, thinking it would be nice to have some comfortable shoes for working outside around the house that could be washed whenever needed. The idea is sound, and these are almost great. Breathable fabric upper is a big plus. These shoes only fall short because they have some seams inside that make them a little bit uncomfortable. They are not so uncomfortable to be unwearable, but they're not something I would want to work in for many hours. They're also fairly heavy for some reason, which makes them bang around a lot in the washing machine and dryer.If these were lighter weight and more comfortable, they would be an easy 5-stars.

Easy to clean and wear around the house!

I ordered these Dearfoam knit sneakers for my mother who has issues bending down to tie her shoes. I went with her usual size, a women’s 7 and the shoes didn’t fit as nicely as she would like.What she liked:The upper fabric is stretchy and breathableThe shoes are machine washable (we haven’t had to wash them yet)The outsole provides a good amount of stabilityThe shoe doesn’t have laces and uses elastic x strapsWhat she didn’t like:The shoes are heavier than any other shoe she ownsThe sole of the shoe provides minimal tractionSizing is off. The shoe length seems longer.The shoes are a bit hard to take on and off, it would have been easier if there was a pull tab on the back of the shoe.

This shoe is comfortable and like a slipper with a sneaker outsole. It is flexible, like an old school sneaker, and does not have much arch support, which I find preferable. It’s also pretty interesting looking and I know that some people think it’s cool (my coworkers) and some people definitely think it’s ugly (my kids) but I like how they look. The reason I cannot give it five stars is because the stitching that connects the soul to the upper sticks all the way through to the inside of the shoe. If you try to wear this without socks, the stitching creates a hotspot and it’s pretty uncomfortable. However, with socks, it is just fine. So if you’re looking for something that you can wear without socks, do not buy these shoes, but as long as you plan on wearing socks with them, they’re pretty good.

I ordered these Dearforms Xstrap sneakers for my wife because she really liked the knitted fabric, design, and color. I waited a few weeks to post her review so she could let me know how they fit and whether she recommended them. After wearing them for a while she has given these sneakers high praise. They are very comfortable, light, and very easy to clean. She has not yet machine washed them but found them easy to clean with a wet cloth. When I asked her if there was anything she would change she said she wished there was a little more arch support,(she has flat feet).

Got my actual size, and I probably should have size down… As you can see from my picture, I can fit my entire finger into the back of the shoe… So when I walk in these, although my foot is comfortable on the sides, and in the front… My foot slips out the back… For some people I can see how this is an issue… Some other people probably won’t care… My mom is the same size as I am, but she has flat and wide feet and she could not put the shoe on… So if you have feet similar to that, I definitely would not suggest these shoes as the whole to slide your foot in is not very flexible or stretchy. Slightly comfortable, with a weird fit. No shoelaces were a plus.

At first I couldn’t tell if these would be a really cool, stylish and unique pair of shoes. These could go one of two ways…Unique or Underwhelming.After walking around in them, trying different outfits/styles with them, and asking my teenage son 😂, I think they’re a tiny bit of the unique aspect but mostly underwhelming. Here’s why…First the positives- they have an insert that gives amazing support and padding to my foot, making it easier tk walk around in them for longer periods of time. The material they’re Made out of is VERY good and they will last a LONG time. They’re cute and can be works with s few different styles and either dress them up or down.Now for the negatives- they are REALLY wide. At first I thought I’d ordered a men’s shoe, that’s how wide they are, but checked and verified they were for women’s shoes. Even though they’re wide, they pinch the sides of your feet, making it uncomfortable at times. Even though there is an insert padding inside the shoe, it is not attached, so it comes out every time you take your foot out of the shoe. It is almost impossible to get it back in and make it fit the right way.Other than all that they are decent shoes and fit true to size. I wear a size 7 in every type of shoe, boots/tennis shoes/slides/heels. It doesn’t matter what kind of shoe it is, I always wear a seven. These shoes are a tad bit larger than the standard seven but a 7 1/2 would be too large for me. I was not wearing socks when I tried them on and walked around with him to try them out today so I think with socks they would fit perfectly.

They're a little heavier than I expected since most Dearfoams are really lightweight. It's comfortable enough for a wear around town shoe but doesn't have much support so it is a very casual sneaker. Easy to clean, though, which is a major plus!
