Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
I love these. I’m a teacher and am on my feet all day. I find that these look professional while still being super comfortable. The strap is adjustable and the material is soft and flexible. The shoe feels durable. I recommend purchasing a spray to weatherproof them. I wear these multiple times a week! They’re fantastic! I like styling them with dark pants, jeans, or even a skirt with a darker jacket. Highly recommend!
I bought these for work and I love them! They are quite comfortable and they are holding up nice. I’ve been wearing them for 3 months now and I scotch guard sprayed them right when I got them and they still look new. I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to wear them with the strap on the back bc it would break (I’ve seen some other reviews showing the leather ripping) but I have no experienced that issue. I normally wear a size 6 but I ordered a 5 and they fit great.
No complaints. Cute and comfy might want to size up for extra sliding room. Also this came with its original box.
Extremely comfortable and the padding is unbelievably soft. Worn with and without socks prefer with socks firmer grip with or without back straps. I'm not used to the bulkiness of the entire shoe but that is Doc Martens Style I'll try to wear them for a few more days to see if I can get used to them but I must say they are extremely comfortable. I took one star out being that it's more masculine than feminine although it is for both I've taken a size 7UPDATE;Wore them a few days and have suddenly become bigger and too much wiggle room inside the shoe. Most likely stretched a bit and need to wear thicker socks. Or return. Undecided tbc
UPDATE: i returned these and ordered the next size up. i ended up trying on the size 7 in store and decided to just get them there and return the new ones i ordered. when i got my in-store ones home, i realized that the original ones i ordered from this listing came in a weird plastic bag and looked like they’d been worn before. there was no box, labeling, or anything to indicate they were real and i didn’t take a good look at them, i just noticed they were too small. my new pair from amazon are mysteriously missing, although they say they’re delivered. i think i got scammed, maybe that’s what i get for ordering shoes from amazon.these look great, but unlike every other pair of dr. martens i’ve ever owned, these run a bit small or closer to true to size. maybe the men’s/women’s sizing is what threw me off, but i wear a size 6.5 in almost every shoe, every single pair of docs i own (which is like 7 pairs) are a size 6. i got a women’s 6/men’s 5 and they were just ever so slightly too small. just ordered the women’s size 7/men’s 6 so we’ll see how it goes
Exactly what I wanted, great quality and true to size!
These were soo cute and upset I had to return because they were too small in length. They were also not as comfy as a clog should be...slightly narrow but i could have overlooked that if not too small in length.
I wear these ALLLLL the time. So comfy and stylish. I didn’t realize how easy they would be to dress up or down. Not to mention I get quite a few compliments. I always tell people it’s like “doc marten meets croc meets clog” 😂
