Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
I was weary of buying them because I needed them for work and some say DocMartens hurt your feet the first time you wear them. Once they arrived I started wearing them and they are really confortable since the first wear and sturdy. They are a bit larger ( I am between sizes and ordered size up) that expected but I think that makes them more confortable and it is not like they are falling, I just feel I have more space for my feet. I truly love them and would recommend them to anyone who is constantly standing up in their job and need formal footwear.
These are pretty nice, I usually wear a 10.5W but ordered an 11 and they fit perfectly!
Perfect
I wear Doc Martens almost everyday but I could hardly get my foot into these loafers. They were uncomfortable from the first try so I sent them back.
These shoes are without a doubt the most painful shoes I have ever owned, which is really saying something. At 1st, on the A-tendon, and now on the dorsal surface of the foot. When I got these nearly a year ago, I was really excited. Aesthetically pleasing, a thick sole to add to my 6’2” height. My 1st try, they were really snug. One would expect such, as they’re new and need breaking in. But walking from office to office in our building, a painful blister on my Achilles tendon. The blister lasted several days, even as I took a break after day one of using them.Off and on use, I can only tolerate them for a hour, max, with very limited walking. The design is so poor on these shoes, it’s a wonder who, or what team at Doc Martens would be so negligent.Nearly a year later, they haven’t changed at all. I wouldn’t recommend at all, and will likely not buy Dr. Martens anymore.
Machine wash care instructions and only 29 reviews, seems untrushworthy
