Side elastics and open-air panels make for a movement-friendly fit in the Magnifica dance shoe from Sansha. Suede sole. In 1982, Franck Raoul-Duval, a 25-year-old Frenchman with a passion for dance and Russian history, created a new type of ballet shoe. After numerous trials and adjustments, he came up with an innovation that changed the lives of dancers everywhere. The split-sole ballet slipper, with its glove-like fit, was born. Sansha now manufactures an extensive range of dance shoes for everything from ballet to jazz, hip-hop to flamenco, and ballroom to tap. Love the shoe; make sure you specify the US size ...not the European size. I sent them back, and the experience of return was excellent; no hassles, total refund almost immediately. Great service. Yes I will order again.
This is a very nice dance shoe, but the elastic is far too tight and the leather upper is very, very skimpy. Yes, I know the shoes have to fit tightly, but this fit was so tight that the heel dug in very painfully. couldn't wear them. Very disappointing!
I like teaching in these shoes. It gives me the heel to take the stress off my Achilles and calf muscles.
If you go to the Sansha website there is a sizing chart[...]They have size charts for not only Sansha dance wear but also for other major brands including Capezio and BlochThe size charts are for shoes, sneakers, tights, leotards, shorts, pants, skirts and all apparelI have ordered from their size charts many times and found them to be accurate.I am a dance teacher and I like this shoe for teaching. I don't recommend this shoe for beginners nor for anyone who does not have a solid technique in dance.
The shoe looked fine. I liked the fact that there is more than just elastic under the arch. However, I wear a size 8 to 81/2 street shoe and I ordered a nine. I couldn't even get my foot in! It is EASILY TWO SIZES SMALLER than your street shoe. Will order a 10 and an 11 and then return the one that doesn't fit.
I ordered the shoe and expected them to look like the one in the photo and got a shoe that looked completely different from the one in the picture, so I returned them....
I usually order size 8 for dance shoes but this Sansha fits like a size 6, fortunately they fit one of my friends so I sold them to her at cost, I paid the freight and that my loss. I am not so sure what size to order next time.
I wear a women's 9/ men's 7/ 39 EU. The size 11 of this shoe was almost perfect except for being slightly narrow. Hope this helps with choosing a size.
