Excellent shoe. Beautiful, and wears well. I have wide feet, and my shoes vary from 10.5 4E to 12 4E, depending on the shoe. I got the 11.5 4E, as it was the only size left in brown. It is a little bit long, but I will live with it, and it still fits well, and the width is good. I probably need 5E or 6E width, but you can't find those. ALSO - please note that ALL shoes from Dunham - the shoelaces that come with them are obviously made by the lowest bidder, as they last no time at all. Amazon should have a link on the page to shoelaces so you can buy the right size at the same time! The shoe is great, but the shoelaces will break when you are in a hurry and rushing to put them on.
These are really nice shoes and waaaaay more comfortable than most dress shoes I have worn and it wears more like a running sneaker. I can't comment on the durability because I do not wear them daily or all that often but I do enjoy wearing them for slightly more formal events. They fit pretty much true to size and width for me. I think I could have gone 14 and wide with but size 15 was heavily discounted and it is not uncomfortable for me to wear them. If you can get them on sale, go for it!
No way these are 4E wide! They seem to be well made but are too narrow. The length is perfect. I've worn New Balance for years and a 4E has always fit well. Obviously the Dunham group has a different definition.
I have my left foot arthritis and also can`t wear anything flat or on a sole too flexible. I need a great arch support, rubber dampening thick sole and comfortable soft but durable leather. These shoes was a blind purchase for me. Well, I`m so happy I bought them. Working in retail, selling a product all day long requires walking a lot so I`m very sensitive to the quality of shoes. These are the best for my feet. I feel no pain even at the end of my work day and they also make me an inch taller compared to other shoes. That doesn`t hurt either :-)
I like these shoes -- they're comfortable for all day wear and look great. I use "Super Feet" insoles in place of the ones they came with, so can't comment on how comfortable they would have been without them. (plantar fascitis both feet) I cut a star because the laces broke the second time I wore the shoes -- a common problem these days -- New Balance, why not provide a second pair of laces with each pair sold?
The shoes look good, but the fit and comfort are not that great. Not horrible, but not that great. Then again, with my high instep and arches, I'm a hard man to please when it comes to shoes. Then again, there are other shoes in the Dunham line that fit much better.
I really like these shoes. They are stylish without being too dressy; good with slacks, tie and sportcoat, good with khakis and open collar. I have been wearing them about three times a week for six weeks. No break-in period was required and they remain comfortable all day. The soles are even pretty good on icy sidewalks. I'm going to buy another pair in black
The shoe width was good but the arch (top of the shoe below the laces) was tight.
