I love Acorns and have bought the Velcro shower slippers and the regular styles for over 30 years.I wear them indoors all the time like indoor shoes. We take our shoes off at the door. Other family members go barefoot or wear socks but my feet get cold and I need support.I hesitated at buying this style thinking it might not fit, based on reviews. I also thought they would be too heavy or clunky. Wrong! They fit well with both thin synthetic and thicker cotton knit socks. They are sturdy and the foam is nice and cushy. They stretch with wear just a tad in the ball of the foot but once your foot imprints to the foam they do not slip around or come off by accident. The felt and socks friction stops slippage. They feel very sturdy but aren’t stiff.I have a very average size 8 foot. I need a little extra width over the ball but never enough to go up in width up from B or medium. Also, as we age feet spread and tend to shrink and swell. Having a tiny bit of extra width is great for me. It’s about the shoe pattern used. For instance the cut of the Nike Air, top of the line, running shoes used to be an exact fit for me for years if I laced them tightly over the ball. Then they changed the pattern. I couldn’t find any shoes that fit until they went back to the old pattern again. The Velcro strap in the other styles of Acorns has been the main reason to buy them besides the cushy foam comfort. But this fit seems to be just great and I don’t need the Velcro because the friction. What is different about these from my other Acorns over the years is the bottom material is more durable like a shoe. I think it will wear even better. The other great feature is the beautiful embroidered pattern. I couldn’t resist the cute critters to wear at my grandkids house. These were perfect. The kids love them and so do I.They are nice and warm without being too sweaty or hot.. The padding is slightly less cushy feeling than the fuzzy material in my shower Velcro styles but it’s not that different. It’s likely due to the fuzzy cover material in the shower slippers.I do house work and run after active kids in these. No slipping! They are the best Acorns I’ve bought to date for comfort.I’m waiting to see these will hold up in the wash only because they are felted with embroidery that could come undone or the felt might shrink or bunch. But there is synthetic in it too that should improve the way it washes. The embroidery stitching may help keep the material from bunching or shrinking unevenly. Normally I get lots washing out of my Acorns. I wash them about very 6 months or so and they last for 3-4 years with daily wear.I started out with Acorns in the 1980s with the knit wool stocking with brown covered bottoms style, very warm and back to nature looking for the times. Then fell in love with the fuzzy very deep cushioned slip-on style that cover the toe. Acorns have more padding than any slipper I ever tried on. Once they added the Velcro to always give me the perfect fit and stability no matter what my feet do, I never bothered with any other slippers for 30 years.I have a style for every season. Open toe in summer and covered toe in winter. These are a new style for me but so far they are the perfect indoor slipper or shoe for winter if you don’t wear outdoor shoes in the house. They seem very sturdy and durable.Best Acorns for winter I ever had. So cute too. I’ll never buy anything but Acorns.
I have bought this style multiple times over many years and wouldn't want to buy any other slipper ever. I just adore the delightful, beautiful, intricate squirrel, acorn, and floral design stitched on them using quality threads. The indoor/outdoor slippers are true to size, and they are made with strong and durable material that will last for multiple years. They have thick rubber, nonslip soles with heavy reinforced stitching that allow me to take garden stolls outside without worries. If they get moist from the ground, they are breathable and dry quickly while on, and their perfect colors do not show grime or dirt. Their slipper bottoms wipe off easily. They are also fully washable and hold their shape and appearance well over time. The durable, trustworthy construction of the slippers does not at all subtract from their comfort or appearance. They are the softest, coziest, most comfortable slippers I have ever owned or ever want to own; that as why I continue to buy them exclusively over the years, and no others. They have extra filling that make me feel that I'm waking on a cloud! I wear them comfortably and cozily during both the warm and colder seasons of the year.I highly recommend these slippers made to please and last, and I am confident that you will love them, too!
I wear 8 or 8.5 shoe size, sometimes even wide. I ordered the 8-9 size slipper. Fits snug but just right. They don’t slide off my feet when I walk. Soles are durable enough to walk outside with, but also thin enough to still feel like a indoor slipper. Cute, cozy, versatile, and comfortable.I am a big LL Bean slipper fan, but this suits me just as well for much less. Happy with my purchase!
My feet are two different sizes (Left is 10, right is 10.5) -- the left shoe fits fine, the right shoe is tight at the foot entry hole (idk if there's a specific term for this part and I'm just having a brain fart?) -- I have a slight wool sensitivity (I can wear certain merino wools, but non-merino makes me really itchy) and my right foot is itching like crazy at the top of the arch, my left foot is fine -- I think my right foot is itchy because the slippers are too small for my size 10.5 right foot and so the wool outer rim is touching my skin, causing irritation. I'm hoping they'll stretch out with time, but I'm kinda disappointed because I have another pair from Acorn and they were perfect straight from the box. I can't stand how much my right foot itches right now though, I have to keep taking them off 😭 the squirrel embroidery is cute af thoUpdate 12-April-2022:After wearing these everyday for about a week, they stretched to accommodate my large feet lol... The itchiness of the wool became less noticeable after the slippers stretched to size, which was nice. The slippers were comfortable and easy to slip on and off, and I could fit light socks with them on, which was also a plus -- The one thing I didn't quite like is how easily dog hair would get attached to the outside wool/inside liner -- the inside liner was also quickly decimated by daily use 😮💨 which was rather unfortunate, but, I still liked this brand enough that I bought another pair of slippers from them ... I stand by my 4 star rating
These are so comfortable and warm. The sizes are small so if you want room buy larger. I have 3 pairs now
I bought this exact same slipper and size a couple years ago. This one, which I did keep, is much larger for the same size. Seem to be wider. The wool is the key to these slippers and Acorn brand, warm but not too sweaty. Well designed and made. I also like the toe area. It has the “height” so not too tight in the toes. Pricey but worth it.
I really like mine. They are cozy and comfortable. They do not make my feet sweat. They keep them warm, especially since my house is all wood or tile floors.
Love the color and the look.
