KEEN Women's Clearwater CNX Leather Sandal, Mineral Blue/Yellow, 8 M US

The shipping was earlier than expected. This Keen Clearwater CNX hiking/walking hybrid sandal is a good fit and true to size for me. I had ordered 2 pairs of the Keen Whisper sandals and had to return because the stretchy piece of the strap over my instep is too snug and no wiggle room. In the summer, my hands and feet are a little swollen due to warmer weather and that would have been uncomfortable. I ordered one of the Whispers in 1/2 size up and the strap on the instep is still snug. Also ordered the Keen Ravine sandal and that is a bit clunky and the velcro strap in the back of the heels is uncomfortable. Finally decided to order the Clearwater CNX and they fit comfortably. I cannot wait to use them for my next trip to Chiang Mai and Erawan Waterfalls/Kanchanaburi, Thailand. I was there last year and did not have the Clearwater, just clunky sports sandal with the less expensive brand. The Clearwater is not clunky looking at all and does not feel like it when on. Glad I found something that will work. The color is more of a slate blue and nice-looking, more blue than gray but nice. It looks like you can wear them around town also.

I am in love with this fabulous shoe. As others have noted, it has the famous Keen comfort right out of the box, but is much lighter and less clunky than many of their other similar styles. The Clearwater CNX is wonderful for city walking, travel, and lighter hiking. Plus it looks stylish. I picked the black with yellow accents, and I ordered a half-size larger than my usual size. When I first put these shoes on, I found them to be extremely comfortable, but very snug, bordering on too tight. After the first hour or so of wear, however, the straps loosened up and the fit became just right. I expect to wear these shoes a lot, and to get a lot of wear out of them (my first pair of Keens from several years ago is still going strong). I would reorder again and again. One of my favorite shoes of all time. My only suggestion to Keen relative to this and some of their other sandal styles is to figure out a way to put some kind of buckle or velcro opening on the back strap so that the shoe is a bit less of a struggle to get on.

This is the best fit for a narrow foot that needs a high toe box. And they are excellent shoes too. Combing reviews of Keen shoes, I learned that this model fits narrow feet best, and that is true. But did not expect this fantastic toe box! I have what I call "curly toe" - my big toes curl up like an elf - and have real trouble with shoes. Most are simply not made to fit toes like this. I wear holes in canvas, and just can't wear most shoes. They cause great pain. This is the first time I've had a toe box that is actually high enough that I can WIGGLE my toes! These shoes are so comfortable I don't take them off in the evenings; I wear them until bedtime. I love the gummy soles; they give me bouncy energy. I love the adjustability of the bunjee cord. I was afraid I would find them uncomfortable around my ankle and difficult to put on and off because there is no velcro opening/closure around the ankle. But contraire! They are actually EASIER to put on/take off than all my other shoes! I love the blue/pattern color too. In short, these are likely the best shoes I've ever had. I hope this model shoe is not discontinued. If you have narrow feet and/or curled up toes, this shoe is for you.

I wear a size 9.5 wide or a 10 Wide in women's sneaker/shoe and most all KEEN brand footwear. I have a high arch and somewhat of a wide foot. The CNX model seems to run a slight bit narrower/shorter than other KEEN model of sandals, hiking boot & shoe, I own several pair of KEEN footwear. I found I needed to move up half a size for comfort, women with narrow feet may do ok with true to size. I ordered in a 10 and had to re-order from KEEN in a 10.5 women's shoe. Light & comfortable! Great light sandal for beach, water activities and walking about town. Not recommended as. hiking or true 'river' sandal - but that is not their purpose. (Try the H2 model for that - also great!) So stoked about this sandal! My girlfriend got a pair of Keen hiking sandals last summer. We are both avid outdoors women and after seeing how her pair held up through all kinds of terrain I decided to invest in my own. I'M SOOOO GLAD I DID!! These are by far the BEST hiking shoe period that I have ever bestowed upon my feet! I can't express enough how much I love these. I have really narrow feet so the Clearwater style looked like they'd be the best fit. I was correct! They hug my feet in all the right places and can be easily adjusted if need be. My foot DOES NOT slide around in it as I trudge through water and they dry super fast. even while hopping around on boulders there is no slippage. The tread on the bottom is amazing. The shoe itself is incredibly light and flexible so I have not had any problems with rubbing or blisters. All in all I will be buying Keen until I find a better brand for my outdoor shoes (if there is anything out there better ^.~). As a side note my 3 year old daughter is also an adventurer and I got her a pair of keen hiking shoes and water sandals and they are just as amazing... she can spelunk around all she wants and hasn't taken a fall from slippage or anything. AMAZING!
