I really like the new shoes! I definitely needed them. I wear my Keen sandals year round except when it’s snowing. I like the way the strap attaches in the back, that’s different than my old ones and they even fit better.
Bought these after being disappointed with Teva falling apart and I love them live in the Sierra Nevada on a large property and outside working on my property everyday. I can wear all day super comfortable great support have a high arch glad I went up 1/2 size to 7 1/2 perfect fit.Thank you so much Great Product.
What i didn't like: they actually run a little small maybe 1/2 size. I do have several severe problems with my feet, so that factors in. But... I just ordered another pair a full size larger. I've bought 4 pairs of Podiatrist recommened shoes in the last 6 weeks but these feel better than any of those. Now i just need to find some jazzy socks as i plan to wear these all winter. Oh, i got these used and could find no indication that they were worn at all. Very pleased. UPDATE: just received the second pair (8.5) also a return, also looks brand new. My problem is not with the shoes. Order them. My feet are the problem. Will be ordering another style soon.
The Sandle fit was good for me, nice toe box and foot bed. Great as an all purpose summer sandle. The Velcro strap is not ideal. I know some can wear without the strap but this granny needs the strap to keep shoe on the foot.
The back strap is a bit bulky. I'd prefer a single strap with one velco attachment section. I'd prefer the attacement on the outside of the heel not at the back of the heel. I love the protection for my toes. The sandal is comfortable and supportive.
I am very happy I made this purchase. I had my other pair of Newport keens for almost ten years before they fell apart. I was hesitant to buy due to the reviews about blisters, but I wear my keens about 90% of the time without straps so I really excited about this style. They are prefect. I took them on a two week beach vacation with hiking and they were perfect for both. I received them two weeks before vacation and wore them around the house for a breaking time if needed, but they did not need to be broken in. As long as the heel straps are not very tight (able to slip them on and off with out adjusting or taking off straps , like original Newport) they are very comfortable to wear while hiking, even wet. I tightened the heel straps for the downward part of our hike and felt chafing, so I loosed them again and just tightened the toe/ foot area and no blisters. As long as you don’t care about the velcro being lined up perfectly you should not have any issues. I look forward to another ten years in these keens.
Very comfortable fit like a glove. after walking for a day I got a blister on the right side of the big toe. I guess they're not wide enough on that foot. The left foot was perfect.
I have loved keens for years, but this new design is not good. The back strap rubs and gives me blisters. This design with a back - just like back in the day would be great!
