My feet are on the narrow side so it is hard to find slip on shoes/slippers that stay on and the heel doesn't slip. These are pretty darn close, just need to pad them out a bit. The strap is more for loosening the shoe allowing the stretchy upper to expand, you can't really cinch them snug on a narrow foot. The upper is stretchy, so good for bunions, BUT even though they are cushy these really are not good shoes for those with plantar fasciitis, the sole is too flexible. For PF, keep looking. Personally, when I 'm having a flare up, I get the cushiest athletic shoe I can find.NOTE: These are NOT walking shoes. They are fine for light walking, say a trip to the grocery store, or to wear around the house, but that is it.I bought these to use as house shoes as I can never get slippers to fit my narrow feet. Orthofeet makes a slipper that works (and very supportive), but no stock this time of year in my size. These will work great until the moccasins come back in stock. Can't say these shoes are cute, but the fit is close, are comfortable and easy to slide into.Price: Way too high, but I was desperate.
Great shoes!!! Have bad feet, but these shoes make my feet feel very good with no pain to speak of!! Love them, well worth the money and will probably be getting another pair!!!
I gave 4 stars because of the lack of style. Because I have a very difficult time finding shoes that are wide enough and give enough support, I feel I have had to settle for a shoe that simply "fits" and style is out the window. This shoe does offer a very roomy toe-box in the XWide and the different inserts to customize the fit is a nice detail. The reviews all say to order 1/2 size up. I normally wear a 9 4E (XXW) - Ordered 9.5 XWI am searching for shoes that help with: failed bunion surgery, arthritis pain, hardware pain, knee pain and hip/back pain. These shoes are 98% perfect! These shoes ARE comfortable and offer great support. The sole is sturdy. Inserts are not TOO soft. The strap to secure the shoe across the ankle is very helpful. The toe-box is roomy and nothing is rubbing in the forefoot area. My ankle is not rocking side-to-side and seems stable. The material is airy, light, breathable. (Style - Yuck).I am returning the shoe as at this price, my heel slipping out of the back with all inserts used is not going to be okay after significant walking. With the 1/2 size up (9.5 XW), I have about a thumbs width of room at the toe, and the heel cushion around the opening is firm across the back of my heel. The bit of extra room at the toe is good, as feet tend to swell during the day. However, when I take a step, I feel a "space" at the base of my heel and my heel slips out and rubs against the cushion. If I try a 1/2 size down, the shoe is too small.Kinda bummed that i am having to return these and keep searching, as this was SO close to being what I could use.
The shoes did not fit as expected. They were uncomfortable. I initiated a return but requirements stated "a packing slip" must accompany the return or NO refund! These were ordered right before Christmas and arrived with several other packages ordered for presents. With all the boxes and etc. around from various orders, the packing slip was evidentially misplaced and not found. Without this, the shoes could not be returned for refund. I had ordered another pair from this company a few weeks prior and they fit well and very comfortable so I thought it safe to order another pair in a different style. These did not fit well and now stuck with a pair of shoes I can't use.
I have other shoes by Orthofeet that are perfect. These are too big, and the arch support is minimal.
Perfect fit out of box.
These are very comfortable shoes, and I have problem feet with severe bunions. I wore them today and walked in them outdoors on sidewalks for about two miles without any discomfort or pain. They look nice on, too.
I didn't care for these shoes. The toe area was painful and the shoe felt overall too short. I guess it all depends on the shape of your foot. But these were just not for me. On a positive note, they included nice accessories, they were packaged carefully, and the shoes seemed to be of nice quality. But I returned them.
