I’ve never owned a pair of boots in my entire life but a friend recommended I get a pair for a dress I was wearing to her daughters wedding. I searched on line for the most comfortable cowgirl boots available & Ariat was highly rated. I have 6 1/2 size feet but because they are wide, I wear a 7. I also have muscular calves (another reason why I never owned boots). I received these boots on Friday and the wedding was the next day. The first time I put them on, I barely got my foot past the ankle. I’m fearless & wanted these boots… so I maneuvered my feet in & walked around. Very comfortable. Wide and wonderful. Getting them off the first time was a feat … husband and son helping to pull them off. Again, I am fearless & wanted these boots. I put them on the morning of the wedding. They slid on easier - still a little tight at the ankle but easier. I walked around. I was winning this battle, they were stretching as leather will do. This time, I was able to remove them myself … not easy but I did it. I decided to put on a pair of thin ankle / trouser socks to soften the ankle area of the boot. Worked perfectly! I wore the boots to the wedding… a crazy idea as new shoes almost always hurt … not a blister, not a pain, not a problem. This boot war was won & I am now the new and proud owner of my first cowgirl boots. I know with time, they will get even more comfortable and easier to put on & take off. My daughter eyed them with the hope that she would get them since they at first didn’t “fit”. Not. Happening. I love these boots.
I bought these boots because ist nearly impossible to find a good pair of riding/work boots in a R toe and have a decent spur shelf. These boots have a narrow square toe without looking like a snip toe boot. The spur shelf on these boots is great and supports my spurs with no problem. They are a bit on the narrow side, thankfully I have feet that are average/narrow so I think once they are broken in they will be perfect. They have light tread on the soles so they should make for a nice riding boot while also giving me some traction on the ground. I'll update this once I've used them a bit more.
So they are amazing quality, and these are my first pair of cowgirl boots so I don't know if it's normal and I just need to break them in more, but the right boot is a little bit more of a squeeze to get on and wear, little less of a squeeze for the left. They are gorgeous tho so I'm hoping it's just the case I have to break them in a bit to loosen up some room in them.
These boots are so beautiful and you can tell as soon as you put them on they're better made than the cheaper boots I've tried. We'll see how they hold up over time! 😁 hopefully last a long while.I'm normally a size 8 and I got a size 8 and it fits great! It's pretty narrow though so of course if you have wider feet go for the wide.
They are breaking in So well no pain I wore them all day right out of the box . Amazing boots
I was super hesitant to buy these boot without trying them on first, and because of all the reviews on here. I wear a 9.5 to a 10 in shoes.(41 EU size). I don't have wide feet, but I don't have super narrow feet either. According to Amazon's "3D sizing" thing---they wanted me to order a 8.5! Reading some of the reviews told me the same as well because they were fitting super loose, but there was one who said she wears a 10 and the 9.5 fit her perfect. So I went for the 9.5. They came in today and the size that I got was 9.5 B(which I'm guessing fits like a M)---Honestly, these are my first pair of "real" cowboy boots, so I really don't know how sizing goes..., but my husband has a pair of Ariats and I remember him telling me that cowboy boots can be tricky from boot to boot--but I thought these looked so nice and I've been itching to buy a pair since we got married, also the price was amazing! Also i knew that I could return them or give them to someone who could fit in them. Anyways, the 9.5 boots fit me perfectly. If you're like me--and this is your first pair of boots--My husband told me that while I should be easily able to slip into the boot, the entire foot should feel "snug" in the boot EXCEPT for the heel(that should feel a *bit* loose) because the more you wear them the more they will soften over time. The ball of your foot should sit at the widest part of the sole of the boot so that when you're wearing them your toes don't crowd the front. So I was pretty darn lucky that I went with my normal size rather than what amazon told me. I'm not saying what I got will fit the same true way as the other ones on here, but that's just my story.
Before purchasing these, I read reviews about size and fit on other styles. I've been wearing boots since I could walk, and some brands fit larger or smaller than others. I just want to say to everyone to ignore all the comments and reviews from city dwellers who seem to give a bad review on a boot because they don't know how it's supposed to look and feel. Under no circumstances is a boot supposed to feel comfortable. I'm originally from the mid west so I know. Boots are for work, not city girl fashion, but if you must wear it, keep in mind that it is a feeling one must get used to.I love the Ariat brand and they do run a little big. You also must keep in mind the style of toe you order. The more pointed the toe, the bigger you might want to get for some wiggle room on the toes. I've only worn this pair a few days and yes they are tight slipping on, but once on there is plenty of room. I wear a size 6 women's, and I ordered a 5.5. There is still a little room but anything smaller would miss my arch. They rub against the top of my foot, but they're made so they don't fall off when riding. They will loosen up as you wear them. Not wearing to the club, I mean walking in them around a rough yard, thats when you'll feel the break in. Wear them as much as you can to break them in. This style seems to be so that jeans can be tucked in to them, that's why there is a wider calf. If you want that city girl look where they hug your calves while wearing shorts or dresses, try getting a child size and that should do the trick. These also look good with jeans pulled over. The design matches with nearly everything, and I got lots of compliments on them.
