Based on many positive reviews I purchased these boots and after a day I found them quite comfortable - working for a public utility, we often purchased Red (W’s) but as of late I found their price going up and their quantity going down - it’s still too early to say over the long run buy them as many boots last 6 months and few make a year but I’ll try to write another in the future
The boot looks good. I used a black marker to dull the logo because for work, I'm only allowed solid colored boots. The 9EE fit me great! I was worried the toe box would be too narrow, but it is roomy enough. They're also very cushioned compared to my regular boots. I'm very pleased thus far. I'm hoping they hold up and don't suffer from the sole separation issues others have had. We'll shall see. So far I'm very happy with the boots though.
I’m a big guy and looked for some time for some boots/shoes that I could wear all day and not have sore feet. For the first time in many years I can say I found that in these boots. My employer pays for them so cost wasn’t an issue but they aren’t cheap. That said, if your in a shop on concrete all day running around fixing this and that, you’ll do yourself a favor in giving these a try. Fit is spot on and wide actually means wide. Slip them on slip them off. I’m an Ariat fan now, no more Carhartt for this working man.
These aren’t meant for long wear and tear but good and worth the price.
One of the best boots i have ever bought, i normally would have to replace my boots ervery 6 months do to wear, iv worn these boots every day for one year , when i first got them i applied shoe grease, then again at 6 months of use i regreased them and replace the insert with oem , they are just as comfortable as the 1st day first i got them , but they are no longer waterproof so i have to replace them .
Comfortable boot right out of the box but a little tight...hopefully after a couple of weeks they'll loosen up....2nd pair I've bought and will buy again in the future...
My husband bought these for everyday for work. He works in the electrically feild and he can't stopping talking about how much he loves these shoes. They protect his feet in all weather. Very sturdy and well made shoes.
Actually these are the best boots, HANDS DOWN! These things are SOO comfortable and they literally are waterproof. As someone who is on their feet 9 hours a day, walking & RUNNING through every type of terrain, I can assure you that you won’t regret them. However, you HAVE to let these break in. Something that I tried was “very carefully” using a heat gun to warm up the inside of the shoe and outside of the shoe before putting them on and wearing them on my day off. That way, on the day you work, they’re broken in and you won’t get blisters. I also generally pair these boots with DarnTough boot socks and the comfort is unreal. These other guys complaining about how they don’t last are idiots. They either do not know how to walk or how to brush their boots off after work in an effort to preserve them. Oh and one more thing...if you were chased by a dog on a job site, you could easily run in these (that’s only if you got your usual size and broke them in). I actually will be purchasing more pairs just because I like them so much.
