boots are well made but just a little warm the zippers make it so easy to get them on and off they fit like a glove
Comfortable boots, light weight . Hot. Not for summer.
I like that it is waterproof. But the top of the toe is cloth not leather. Not sure how long they would last with everyday use, but they are very comfortable.
I love these boots. They are exactly as advertised and have suited me very well through hikes, yard work, the beach and even skateboarding 😂They are true to their waterproofing which I was very pleasantly surprised to find, after trekking through streams with dry feet (Though I don’t recommend stepping into water deeper than the boot as the water is kept within once submerged). This video was taken after over a month of consistent wear (and tear) including a trip in the washing machine to get the salt water out. I enjoy being able to leave the laces set to their tightness and using the zipper and Velcro to slide on and off easily. The zipper seems strong and the construction is overall sturdy. If I were to change something on the boot, I’d like a firmer toe and heel. If you kick hard with them you can feel it through your foot more than work boots. I experienced this when driving a shovel down through some tough dirt. It’s definitely still sturdy and manageable but wouldn’t hurt to fortify.I was holding my phone to film with one hand so I had to use my monkey feet to help navigate the shoe and zipper ok 😂
It’s a great fitting bootDoes it’s job with no complaintsIf they get wet enough, moister starts to soak in so i have to get a boot dryer. So now I’m officially 40 something..
****UPDATE***** Merrell Stood behind there product and is Shipping me another pair. That is why I buy Merrell Products. I love these guys!!! *****These boots fit perfectly and I love this brand but after only 2 months of use the Toe box seams are pulling away. I have had a few pairs of Merrell Hiking Boots And thought I would try a pair of these Tactical boots. They were so comfortable that I was going to buy another pair just to have in stock. I work on a 7000 acre ranch and my boots get a workout driving cattle fixing fences and guiding Elk hunts etc. I am totally surprised at the seams spiting as other hiking boots I have from Merrell have lasted years. I think this was a manufacturing problem and I hope I can get these replaced. This can happen I guess but the real test is if Merrell stands behind their product At $164.00 I could almost buy 2 pairs of a cheaper brand(Smith and Wesson)
This is my second pair I have purchased, the first pair was a size 10 and when I put in a different pair of inserts the boot became a little tight, this pair I ordered a 10 W and put the same inserts in and everything is great. The only difference I have notice is the 10W feels more like a 10.5 in the toe box. I have just ordered a 3rd pair to have on hand when these wear out.
I ordered a pair back in 2018 sometime for work and they lasted a solid two years it seems. Reyes other boots in between and nothing was as comfortable. I’m glad I ordered a pair again this year.
