I wore this shoe on my trip to Spain walking anywhere from 18,000 - 28,000 steps per day. I didn't really break the shoes in prior to my trip; however, the shoe was comfortable and provided good support. My feet were not tired or achy even after a full day of walking and didn't cause any irritations or soreness.
The amount of arch support surprised me, but didn't take long to get used to it. I ordered a half size larger than normal and was glad I did. The toe box is not very roomy, but not necessarily a problem for me. I'm happy with the color and would purchase these again.
While others seemed to have problems with the size, I did not because I usually wear a 6, so I ordered a 7 which is what I do with most brands of running shoes. However, where my running shoes, Adidas, Brooks, or Saucony cradle and cushion my overpronating, flat feet, I found the insole in these shoes to be too hard. They are not as comfortable as my Birkenstocks for arch support. Perhaps I should have ordered the 6 1/2, because the arch did not seem to be in the right place for my feet. They did have a nice wide toe box, but they were just uncomfortable to me. I wish they would have worked out, but I returned them.
Love everything about this shoe—color (washes khaki), stysle & fit. Ordered 6.5 & 7, kept 7. Runs very true to size. I have one size 6 foot & one size, so sometimes can wear size 6.5Not in these; 7 fits well without being too large on smaller foot. Washed in cold water, gentle cycle, air dried (without dryer). Did not shrink. Will pick up another color for sure.
I was glad I purchased a half size up, otherwise they would have been too small. The inside arch support is awesome! These shoes are great for someone with problem feet and still want shoes that look trendy and youthful. I'm ordering a second pair in another color!
